We strive to provide great customer service, and you did not get that at all based on your review. Cheers, and thank you.Īmanda, I am disappointed to read your first experience at the Four Saints taproom was not a good one. While I don't know if you ordered a beer while you were here, if you did I hope you enjoyed the hard work and genuine craftsmanship we put into every ounce of our beer. Our small, family-owned business thanks you for at least giving us a chance. I'm sorry this one thing has caused you to decide not to come back. I know there are craft beer establishments that allow as many as samples as asked for. We also offer half pours of all draft beers. We do offer flights of four 5oz samples of draft beers for the sake of being able to enjoy some of what we offer in order to help make the best decision for you about what you would like to enjoy as an on or off-premise purchase. Yes, what you experienced regarding the one sample is how we currently do things. Please accept my apologies about this aspect of your visit. Your feedback has given me insight into some training I need to provide. This type of encounter is quite out of the norm. Let me start by saying I was disappointed to read about your experience with one of our bartenders. Maybe Les will be able to pour it for you and you'll get a chance to know one of our tremendous Four Saints' family members a little better. If so, your first glass of wine is on me. I do hope you will join your join your husband if/when he visits again. I believe the refusal of glassware for wine, and direction to a manager/owner, would have been the same from any of the other bartenders that night for the same reason. His asking about seeing a manager is a simple protocol we have to maintain efficient and effective communications between staff and managers/owners. Les was following my explicit directions for an anticipated higher volume of customers. It's unfortunate, that due to other circumstances, this was not the experience you had. He is one of the hardest working, most pleasant, on point people I've ever had the pleasure to work with. I'm not a fan of adults name calling, especially after only one interaction. Les, the bartender you are describing, is not a jerk. The small tasting glassware was permitted for tasting purposes due to the minimum number of those we were going to go through due to not doing flights that day/night. This decision was made for efficiency and effective serving purposes - less dishes needing to be done, less glassware broken, and less chance of running out of glassware.

I was the guy who had the green and orange beard.Īs the owner, in anticipation of a large crowd, I made the call that no full pour glassware (16oz), half pour glassware (8oz), or wine glassware was to be used. We had a chance to discuss this that night. Next, regarding the experience described, I apologize for it not meeting a certain standard. We knew were going to be busy, just not as busy as we were. More people were in and out of our taproom that day than any other day we've been in business. It's always a great time, and this year it was the single busiest day we have ever had at the brewery. The ownership and other bar staff have been extremely friendly, this review is about our experience tonight with this one bartender.įirst, thank you for joining us for our annual St. We ended up pouring our wine in our husband's tasting glasses. I don't want to ever go back but the guys will and if we do, I will make sure to avoid this bartender and go directly to the owner or another bartender. He totally dismissed and disregarded a customer. Pretty much he was telling us, I don't have time to deal with requests from customers and to get them off my back I tell them I'll get the manager. He said I don't have time, that is just my line. Once we were done with our drinks he was near by so my friend grabbed him and said we weren't mad we just wanted a glass. We said no, we don't want to speak with the manager, we just want one of those glasses.

He said no and asked us if we wanted to speak to the manager. Paddy's day celebration, they were just providing plastic cups, however, they put the guys beer tasting in a glass. When the bartender with a mustache that curls on the ends came to our table, we asked for a glass to pour our wine in. The guys ordered from the bar and brought our wine to us in a plastic cup. Fortunately they have a few wine selections. My husband and his best friend love to come here but our experience this evening makes me never want to return. Four Saints is a great brewery to visit, Asheboro is really coming along as a quaint town for food and beverage.
